Due to pandemics and geopolitical confrontations, sustainability issues are currently getting less\u00a0<\/span>attention. Nevertheless, it is crucial not to lose sight of issues such as climate change, plastic waste,\u00a0<\/span>inclusion and other sustainability topics. That\u2019s why the<\/span><\/span>\u00a0International Center for Education and\u00a0<\/span>Exchange (IBB Dortmund)<\/span><\/span>\u00a0is launching an educational course on sustainable event management\u00a0\u201c<\/strong><\/span><\/span>Events for Future\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The course is held jointly with partners<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Agency for Support of Sustainable Cities and Communities\u00a0<\/span>\u00abInterakcia\u00bb<\/span><\/span>\u00a0(Georgia),<\/span><\/span>\u00a0SIQA<\/span>\u00a0\u2013<\/span>\u00a0Georgian Association of Educational Initiatives<\/span><\/span>\u00a0(Georgia) and NGO\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00abFree Citizen\u00bb Civic Initiatives Support Center<\/span><\/span>\u00a0(Armenia) and experts from other countries with the\u00a0<\/span>support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
\n<\/span><\/span>
Who may take part in the educational course:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

participants from Eastern Partnership countries\u00a0<\/span>(Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) and Russia, regardless of their current\u00a0<\/span>location, who are involved in organizing events and would like to do so with care for future generations.\u00a0<\/span>When forming groups, we will hold online consultations to discuss any special requests and needs of\u00a0<\/span>participants.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The Events for Future educational course will run from<\/span>\u00a0November to December 2022<\/span>\u00a0in a Blended\u00a0<\/span>Learning format and will include<\/span>\u00a04 mandatory online modules<\/span>\u00a0with various practical assignments and\u00a0<\/span>tests followed by<\/span>\u00a03 online workshops<\/span>\u00a0to deepen the knowledge gained in the course. Also, participants\u00a0<\/span>living in Georgia or Armenia can attend<\/span>\u00a01 face-to-face<\/span>\u00a0three-day workshop in Batumi (Georgia), while<\/span>
participants from other countries can join this workshop online.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The course will be available in<\/span>\u00a0two languages, Russian and English<\/span><\/strong>, so the participants could choose\u00a0<\/span>the group with the language of learning most comfortable for them.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Studying course materials will take<\/span>\u00a03 to 4 hours per week<\/span><\/strong>.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Those who successfully complete the mandatory online modules can benefit from additional modules (as an option).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In this course, you will study<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>different approaches to sustainable event management and learn the best\u00a0<\/span>international practices in this field and will be able to use this knowledge in practice.
\n<\/span><\/span>
During the training, you will get:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 Practical knowledge in the sustainable organization of events and event management.<\/span><\/span>
\u2013 Ready-to-use checklists for organizing events based on the principles of sustainability.<\/span><\/span>
\u2013 The opportunity to apply this knowledge in practice through practical tasks and get feedback from the<\/span>
course experts.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop will be held in close contact with experts from civil society organizations and\u00a0<\/span>sustainability initiatives. Working with experts from different fields, you will expand your knowledge\u00a0<\/span>and professional networking.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


Participation in the course is free<\/span><\/strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0the organizers cover travel costs, accommodation and meals.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
