Today, the group of consolidation “Exit CSTO” met with Andranik Kocharyan, the chairman of the National Security, Defense and Internal Affairs Standing Committee of the National Assembly of Republic of Armenia. The members of the initiative presented to the chairman of the commission the public sentiments and concerns related to Armenia’s further membership in the CSTO. In the last two years, the inappropriate attitude of that structure towards Azerbaijan’s aggression towards the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia deepens Armenia’s security threats.<\/p>\n

The members of the initiative emphasized the reorientation of the RA security system, the establishment, development and deepening of relations with new partners from the West in security matters, as well as the use of new opportunities that appeared in that context. Thoughts were also exchanged on other urgent issues related to Armenia’s security field.<\/p>\n
